Program Notes

Have you ever thought about how your life would be if you took a different path?

“Pathways” was inspired by the themes of parallel worlds and alternate lives in literature, like the main
character’s adventure in “Another” by Christian Robinson. The musical lines explore that journey –
sometimes parts echo each other, sometimes they move parallel to one another, but they always remain
connected.

Additionally, students from Huntley District 158 (commission lead), were invited to fill in their own Pathway dot to be used for the cover. I loved seeing the creativity from the students! Please enjoy the slideshow of dots below.
